RAILWAY CHILDREN |
Below are my earlier creations from my college days & pre collection.
'FRILL ME' WAS A little project based on details & I just raw frilled the hell out of a basic shaped shift dress. 'hung-over from the fifties' was my final major at college. my love for the 1950's/1960's came out, 2 a3 sketchbooks of research later I produced these 2 cute little outfits. I love check. cant get enough of the stuff & matching those checks tested my patience & I found my o.c.d when it comes to wanting a garment to look proper. 'railway children' was my pre collection before hell broke loose on my final collection. I based my pre collection on the inspiration the teddy boys had from the Edwardians. I exaggerated the hips to play a juxtaposition to the boyish look I was mostly portraying & took this detail into my final collection. I do love a good bit of detail. |
